Shared Experience – Facing History and Ourselves Workshop in Terezin (CZ)

Shared Experience – Facing History and Ourselves Workshop for educators from Germany and the Czech Republic takes place in Terezín-Theresienstadt from May 24 to May 25, 2024.

We would like to invite you to an upcoming workshop for educators from Czechia and Germany, organized by Schola Fidentiae. This interactive workshop will use the Facing History and Ourselves approach to explore chapters from Czech and German Twentieth Century history. The workshop will be held in Terezín (Theresienstadt) – a significant place regarding the history of Holocaust.

The workshop will be attended by a representative of Facing History and Ourselves – Fabenson Frisch.
We will have a special guest – David Haas, a grandson of Terezin painter Bedřich Fritta.

Date: Friday and Saturday May 24 – 25, 2024 (the start of the workshop May 24 at 10 am)
Place: The Theresienstadt Centre for Genocide Studies, Pražská 25, Terezín

Workshop fee: 4 800 CZK/€190 covers workshop, tickets to museum, accommodation at Parkhotel Terezín (one night/double room) and meals. If you wish  to stay in a single room, please contact us. The fee in a single room is 5200 CZK/€200.

Travel: To get to Terezín by public transport – there is a direct bus from Praha Letňany (60 minutes) or you can travel by train from Prague Hlavní nádraží to Bohušovice and from Bohušovice by a local bus to Terezín (80 – 90 minutes).
